Our service
Kiekkist sells website designs and access to its design gallery online. Purchase and withdrawal use forms on this website; payment runs through Mollie.
Legal frame
As a micro-enterprise with fewer than ten employees, Kiekkist is exempt from the service obligations of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), which implements the European Accessibility Act. We build to WCAG 2.2 level AA anyway, because we sell accessibility. This statement is voluntary.
How we meet the requirements
- Semantic HTML, one main heading per page, a skip link to the content, headings in order.
- Everything works by keyboard, focus is visible, important controls are at least 44 × 44 px.
- Contrast to WCAG AA, checked for every text and background pair.
- Content is fully readable without JavaScript; filters and toggles work without JavaScript too.
- Motion is sparse and uses only opacity and transform; with “reduce motion” it is off.
- Forms have visible labels, error messages as text next to the field, and autocomplete hints.
- No third-party content, no cookie banner, no overlays.
Test status
Every page type of this website was checked on 30 October 2026 with the Kiekkist checker in the BFSG profile (axe-core, own tests for reflow at 320 px, text spacing, keyboard use, focus, target size, forced colours). Automated tests cover only part of WCAG 2.2. A full manual review with screen readers is still to come.
Known limitations
- The live previews of the example themes are embedded pages. Their check results are on each design page, open findings included.
- Mollie’s payment page is outside this website.

Market surveillance
The authority responsible for the BFSG is the Market Surveillance Agency of the German federal states for the accessibility of products and services (MLBF) in Magdeburg.
